The Russian offensive in the Dnepropetrovsk Region is being conducted, among other things, to create the buffer zone in Ukraine promised by Russian President Vladimir Putin, which is necessary to protect Russia's borders, Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has told a news briefing.
