MOSCOW, June 6. /TASS/. Most Poles are tired of the country's altruistic support for Ukraine, deputy of the lower house of parliament from the opposition Law and Justice party and former deputy foreign minister (2019-2023) Marcin Przydacz said on the air of Polskie Radio.
"Today, the bulk of Poles are not interested in gestures of goodwill towards Ukraine. In recent years, the Ukrainian government has done nothing to keep the sympathies of Poles on its side," said Przydacz, commenting on the statements of elected president Karol Nawrocki about relations between Poland and Ukraine.
According to Przydacz, Warsaw may return to discussing Kiev's Euro-Atlantic ambitions if it makes some of its own concessions to Poland - abandoning the Bandera ideology, finally reburying the victims of the Volyn massacre, and stopping the flow of agricultural products to the Polish market.
Earlier, Nawrocki said he was disappointed with Vladimir Zelensky, because he did not consider Poland an ally. In his opinion, Ukraine should not be accepted into the EU and NATO until it resolves the problem of the Volyn massacre and stops glorifying Stepan Bandera. As director of the Polish Institute of National Remembrance, Nawrocki also repeatedly complained about the lack of progress on the part of Ukrainian partners on the reburial of Poles killed in Volyn.
